Not sure what to say?

Erik & Michelle & Christopher - I remember your father and mother very well when I knew you guys when we were much younger and played together. Your parents were always good to me and I loved your father's National Geographic books and magazines. Those were great memories.

Ross Bankson was the Ops Officer on the Mt. Baker when I was in the ops division. Sorry to hear of his passing, great guy.

My deepest condolences. I served with Ross on the USS Mt. Baker, a lot of good memories.

I am speechless with the realization of the level you, my dear Uncle (and yours), have shone the way from shiny elbows off the table to your observations so carefully and thoughtfully pointed out in your manifesto. I am clear now; you have helped me see so much Rossifer THE Officer and wandering soul. I got "your" back now you beautifully flawed human man.

Although not related by blood, Ross and his family have been family to me for more than 50 years. Even as a kid, I knew he was a world-traveler (which my family was not). Every time a plane flew over, my mother said I'd look up, wave, and say, "Hi, Ross." Ross had a huge influence on my love of the English language and writing career. I still cherish the grammar book he gave me as a graduation present, particularly his hand-written "Pet Peeves" list of errors included in the back for me....

I am sorry for the loss of your loved one. May the peace of God and the fond memories you cherish sustain you in your time of need.

My sincere condolences to the Bankson family. May your treasured memories of Ross always fill your hearts and bring you peace. - Romans 15:13

My condolences to the family. May the God of Comfort be with you at this most difficult time. And, may the loving expressions from friends and family warm your tender hearts.
