Ross BECK

I was extremely saddened to hear of Ross Beck's passing; my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Beck was my first principal and inspiration at the Ottawa Technical Highschool and also presented me with my honours diploma and various awards before I left Ottawa to study at the University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Art. Ross and Annalee were exceptional neighbours on Amy St. They were always welcoming, friendly, thoughtful, smiling and we had a lot of great chats. Very sorry to hear this news. I met Ross through working at Tony Graham and he was a lovely and fun person. All the best to the family.

I remember hearing about Ross' exploits on the sports fields of St.Thomas back in the 1950's. He became a University of Western Ontario Mustang football star and I heard about that, as well. (Ross was 9 years older than I.)
At family gatherings, we talked sports and I knew one of his high school football players who eventually married a wonderful girl whom I used to date.
Ross seemed enthusiastic during our infrequent meetings and I always enjoyed them.
