Not sure what to say?

Marie-Christine and I remember Ross fondly - we can still see him poking around the cherry trees angling for the best photo. All our thoughts and sympathy to Marlene and the family. How sad to have lost such a man. How wonderful to have known him.

Ross is part of my memories of glad and fulfilling times at National Geographic.

As a former researcher for National Geographic magazine, I often had the good fortune to work with Ross. His gentle manner and soft laughter brightened my day, and I always enjoyed hearing about his latest softball antics. I know he'll be missed.

Dear Marlene, I was saddened to hear of Ross' death. I had missed him when I was in MD. I thought of you both often and pray God will give you peace and comfort in this time of grief.

Love, Helen

Ross was a dear friend for many years and I will miss his thoughtfulness, his friendship, his beautiful photography and his humor. Love and sympathy to his family.

Al Fleig and Venus Masselam send their love and condolences to the beloved family of Ross Emerson and his lifelong partner Marlene Dunsmore and her family.
Ross was certainly a sweetheart of a man and we sorely regret being unable to attend the memorial service as we will be away with our families in Brewster MA on that very day.
