We were in a writing class together. Ross was a fine fellow.

Such a nice reminder to read about Ross again. I was in his writing group, and we had lots of memorable moments.

What a delightful man was Ross. He was, for many years, in a small writing group of which I was a part. I always looked forward to his company.

The writers gang always deeply appreciated Ross. He was conscientious, honest, forthcoming, humorous, engaging, and had a high moral compass. He was also very humble about his accomplishments. Hats off to Ross!

Still have very fond memories of Mountain climbs in Washington and Oregon especially our attempt to climb Mt. Jefferson some 65 years ago without appropriate equipment.

A random memory from my time in the 70s at Willamette Week: Ross thought it was cute and funny when I told him about it. I was on the phone with an ad client about materials we needed to build an ad for their business. I told the client we could pick up the art needed for the ad. She said "That's OK, we'll bring it over. I know the building you're in." (I thought she'd say Oregon Pioneer Building.) But she said "You're at Ross Hall."
