My sincere condolences to the family. Dr. Herron was an amazing individual and it was a joy to work with him during my 15 tenure at the American Red Cross- he was kind and always agreeable when I asked for candids- He will be missed.

Dr. Herron, we miss you so much. You were a great mentor and teacher for so many years at the Red Cross. You were irreplaceable when you retired, but it was well earned. Praying for your family at this time.

Dr Ross Herron and I worked closely during my 10 years with the ARC, Blood Services.. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his sudden death... He introduced me to candied ginger, good for the digestion, he said... He was always there for me and answered all my questions concerning the latest blood borne pathogen harmful to the blood supply... It's hard to imagine a world without Ross Herron...
