Not sure what to say?

Dear Neal, Jan, Shelley and Amy,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Ross was a dear friend since Grant High School. Bernice was one of my closest and dearest friends and I went to Seattle when they were married. I know he will be missed by many.

Ross was one of the true straight-shooters of this world. There don't seem to be many like that left and he wlll be sorely missed.
It's always a jolt, even when expected, to lose a lifelong friend. Ross was one of my closest friends from grade school on. We were in the same class together at Beaumonst grade school, Grant high school, and Oregon State University. Our get-togethers throughout the following years were always great fun.
My sincere condolences to his...

I didn't know Ross that well but he was always so friendly and gracious when I would see him. You have lost a great father/grandfather and he will certainly be missed. Sorry for your loss.

We are very sorry to hear of the recent passing of Mr. Ross Kuhnhausen. I am so fortunate to know Mr. Kuhnhausen as a family friend of my parents, as well as having beautiful pieces of furniture in our home. There are many memories that I will treasure, and in each of them I remember Mr. Kuhhausen's smile, laugh, and twinkle in his eyes. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children. We look forward to seeing the family on Sunday, and to renew old friendships.

"Ross was fair and honest", that is for sure! He was more than fair to me. I worked at Kuhnhausen's Furniture in the '90's and during that time another (non-family member) employee borrowed $250 from me, robbed the store and a bank and fled town. Ross gave me the $250 the crook owed me, even though Ross had just been robbed too. That is only one example of the man who was as much a friend to me as he was "Ross the Boss".
My parents are long time satisfied customers and friends (through...

My living room today is full of reminders of Ross, many pieces with me for numerous decades. My Beaumont District kids, Katie, Doug, and Robin Zeal, were school buddies of Neal's. Ross, in absentia, has always been a warm and caring part of our household life and memories. I never pass the store without kind thoughts of his careful help in making my house a home. Our loving thoughts go out to all the family of this wonderful man.

We enjoyed the furniture we purchased there and a very pleasant relationship

Karen & I send our deepest sympathies to the family. Ross was a wonderful, kind person who will be dearly missed. Our best to all the family. Dale & Karen Kuhnhausen

Tears came to my eyes as I remembered my long time friend Ross. Ross and I met as little boys in 1936 and he was then known as ERK short for Elbert Ross Kuhnhausen. We lived just a few houses away in the Alameda area and played together most every day. He and I attended Beaumont, Grant, and later Oregon State where we both pledged Alpha Tau Omega. Even though I moved around the US on a regular basis for 30 years, every time we visited Portland he was the first person that I called. I could go...
