Dear Mrs. Orr and family. Way back in 1966, I started working in the E.R. at St. Luke's. I was very young. Dr. Orr was so very kind. He was a fabulous doctor who personified the best of the best in surgeons. He was so soft spoken and kind to his patients. He held their hands while gently explaining how he would take care of their needs and sometimes crises. I always thought of him as a "gentle giant."

Dr. Orr is one of the most compassionate, caring individuals that I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He was a dedicated physician and a great teacher and motivator. He will be missed by all. My life is definitely enriched by having the honor and privilege of working with him.
