Not sure what to say?

Charlene - Sending you sympathy hugs from Colorado. All the Petries have been such good friends of the Leutholds. He was a true pioneer and leader in skiing and mountaineering. My thoughts are with you.

Mr. Petrie was my 8th grade teacher at Woodstock in 1964. He was one of my very favorite teachers. He challenged us, kept us in line, and made us laugh every day. What wonderful memories I have of that year thanks to a great teacher. I feel very fortunate that he was a part of my life during my informative years.

Mr. Petrie was my 4th and 6th Grade teacher and my 8th grade math teacher at Woodstock. He was a good teacher and a good role model.

Garry, Susan, and Conrad. We are so sorry to hear of Ross' passing. It looks like Garry inherited his father's love of the outdoors. You are in our thoughts. Love you The Pell family

I had the honor of working with Ross as a fellow volunteer at Vista House. Our Sunday mornings together at the Interpretive Desk were so enjoyable. He was a wealth of knowledge for the visitors from around the world that learned about our beautiful Northwest region. I learned so much from Ross and truly will miss his wonderful spirit, love of the outdoors and generous gift of sharing with others. On to more mountains and hiking trails to you, my friend.

I met Ross in 1983 as a volunteer for the US Forest Service on Mt. Hood. I remember our time fondly and often, he was a true gentleman, and I know he is missed greatly by his friends and family. The world is truly a better place because of him.

I have fond memories of my most favorite teacher at Wilcox. He taught me about the Oregon Pioneers in 4th grade. I remember the day he climbed Mt. Hood, and gazing up at the mountain.
