Ross was a great friend/judge/opposing coach/colleague when I debated and coached NDT in the 1980s. "One of a kind" keeps popping up in the tributes I've seen, and there's no challenging that. Generations of debaters and students and friends are the richer for having known him. My condolences for your, our, debate's great loss.

There are no word to express the sadness in my heart at your loss. I deeply saddened to hear about Ross. A beautiful man, that's all I can say.

Jayne, Alex, and the Smith family: My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
