Not sure what to say?

Ross was a great debate coach and a great friend to many students/faculty/staff over the years. I remember with great fondness my work with the debate team during my years as a graduate student at Wake Forest. Jayne, Alex and to all of Ross's family, my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. May your warm memories sustain you as you meet the challenges of your grief.

Ross was a great friend/judge/opposing coach/colleague when I debated and coached NDT in the 1980s. "One of a kind" keeps popping up in the tributes I've seen, and there's no challenging that. Generations of debaters and students and friends are the richer for having known him. My condolences for your, our, debate's great loss.

Dear Family,
Ross was a great instructor and taught me a lot in the little time that I came to know him. I'm deeply saddened to see him gone. I send my condolences to you all.. Keep your heads up and be strong

Dear Jayne and Alex:
Ross was a good man, a good friend, and a person I always thought very well of. My thoughts will be with you. He will be missed.

Aunt Marguerite, Jayne and Alex,
There are no word to express the sadness in my heart at your loss. I deeply saddened to hear about Ross. A beautiful man, that's all I can say.
May God see you through your grief and sorrow. My prayers are with you.
You will find the strength, we all do.
You'll get through it.. keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, he is with you.

Jayne, Alex, and the Smith family: My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. We have lost an amazing man who was instrumental in shaping so many young lives and bringing out the best in everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. I consider it a blessing to have had Ross as a coach, mentor and friend. My deepest condolences and sympathy.

Jayne and Alex, Know that my heart aches and my mind already misses Ross. I pray for understanding and peace for you and the rest of us who love you.
