Uncle Ross was always someone I looked up to as a model of kindness and compassion. Even with five girls in the household, he was always calm and understanding and exerted a quiet authority. He and Aunt Carolyn showed me how a married couple could love each other and co-exist while maintaining their own identities and follow their own interests.
