My heart goes out to each of you - what a loss to the beltie world and how under appreciated his great knowledge of the early days of the breed in this country! My fondest memories of Toby are sitting outside Ketter Hall, come rain or shine, sharing a cigarette. We discussed anything from teaching, mechanics of solids, hockey, Louis L'Amour, Toby's family, his time at Princeton, his farm in Vermont, my son and family.
