In Loving Memory of Our beloved sister, mother, and grandmother has gone to be with our Lord.
Roxana passed on June 27, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born on April 20, 1962, to Raul M. Rivera and Eduviges Rivera.
Roxana is preceded in death by her parents, Raul and Eduviges Rivera, and her beloved sister, Francis El Twati.
She is survived by her children, Fatima Moreno and Rafael Moreno III (Mayra), and her beloved grandson, Nathan J. Emerson Jr., whom she adored. She is also survived by her uncle Demetrio Lopez, aunt Francisca Lopez; brothers Raul Rivera (Susy), Javier Rivera, and Jesus Rivera (Noemi); and her beloved sister, Patricia Rivera. She leaves behind countless cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as her comadre and best friend, Sylvia Vaca (Tony).
Roxana attended Cochise College in her early years, describing it as one of the best times of her life. She worked at the Butterfield Bus Station and later at Pirtleville Grocery, eventually becoming a devoted homemaker.
Although she deeply loved her siblings and children, her greatest joy came from being a grandmother.
Those who knew Roxana know she was full of empathy, compassion, wisdom—and above all, love. One of Roxana’s greatest passions was her garden, where her rose bushes brought her immense joy.
Although we now mourn a great loss—a void that can never be filled—we take comfort knowing she is now in God’s loving arms.
A quote she left behind: "Pray big, worry small. Give it to God. Laugh more, stress less. Have faith. Be grateful."
Special Thank you to the Douglas Fire Department and Dr. Wu. The family would also like to thank her caregivers for their care and companionship.
