My memories of this dear lady go all the way back to Sambos in Durango! We were just at the Bar D this summer and I couldn’t help but think of her and my time spent working there with her. She was a true original, always keeping an eye on us kids. She will be missed.

Roxey was one of a kind. I will never forget that my brother and I were the first kids that she would pick up on her bus at the Cascade Hwy Camp and I am now 45yo. She may or may not have had to wake us up some mornings and would arrive early just in case we slept in and the coffee was always ready for her as she waited. She would always make the long ride each day fun. I will never forgot that she would be wearing a light up tie or glasses with windshield wipers on them or any other thing...
