I have never met anyone else like Roy Adama during my lifetime and doubt that many others have either. Roy's passing is a deep sadness for all of us and if there is any solace now, it has to be that we had the rare privilege of knowing him. He was a family friend of ours for 55 years; not nearly long enough.

Roy was one of those unique characters
that only come around once in a lifetime.
Even if he had just met you, he made you feel like you were lifelong buddies.
The Vol Nation and all fun loving folks
will miss him.

Roy and I shared a passion for UT football and were fraternity brothers at UT. He was one of the first to welcome us to Memphis when we moved here in the mid-60s and was always quick to offer help, encouragement and support.
