Not sure what to say?

Hello, I was just going through some of my mother's things and Roy's name came up. When I searched for him on the web, I came across the sad news seeing this obituary. I think the last time we saw him was around 1979 - 1980. We knew him when we lived in Colorado working at the local radio station with my mother, Tricia Williams and her husband Dave. The teenager me thought at the time he was pretty cool guy as he had a greyhound (Gabby) that he rescued. It's amazing what you remember from...

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

Roy and I became close friends at Beaverton High School, but my earliest memory is of this star athlete at Aloha Grade School who was twice my size. We then roomed together at the U of O in Eugene with Fred Jubitz in 1969-1970. Roy was always fun to be around, with a great sense of humor, who was genuinely kind to other people. I liked playing B-ball with him on the same team during rat ball games on campus because he was so good, but I never could beat him at either horse or 1-on-1, even...

Sue, I just wanted to write a note in tribute to Roy. I was so sad to see he had recently passed. He had such an impact on my life, and I'll forever be grateful to him. Soon, he offered me a job, to come help him during his live sports broadcasts. He even paid me out of pocket---$2 for every game! And the very...

Roy became a friend during our days at Beaverton High School. He was among the best athletes, especially basketball, that attended BHS. In those days, and after, he was humble about his accomplishments and genuinely interested in others. He had an infectious laugh that sprinkled many conversations. Having moved out of Oregon, I had seldom seen Roy over the past several years, but my memories of him remain vivid. I was fortunate to have known him as a friend. May he rest in peace and be...
