Roy Lewis "Doc" Bowden

I feel blessed to have had the chance to know Dr Bowden. I will certainly miss such a wonderful person and patient.

By the time word reached me I was a week behind; still my thoughts and prayers are with you. Now that I teach, I use Doc in my sermons often. In fact each of you hold a special place in my heart and my words in class. You will always be with me. It feels good to be back in Texas, but it feels strange to know Doc is gone. He will always be the dentist who taught me about the life after school and allowed me to ride his horses, cut my own Christmas tree, and teach me to be a business woman. I...

Dear Dena, Angel & Brian,
I'm so sorry to hear of Doc's death. I have missed you all since moving away, but will always remember Doc's grin and chipper attitude. He was a friend to everyone he met and was extremely humble. He accomplished quite a lot in his lifetime, but the friendships he made were special, as is evidenced by the entries in this book.
May God's peace envelope you and keep you strong. It won't be easy, but just remember how much he loved and how many loved...

The 25 years we have known the Bowdens to be wonderful people great contributors to the Burleson community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bowden family at this time. May your hearts soon be filled with great memories and the celebration of Doc's life.

I remember Dr. Roy from the earlier
years at Pancho's Mexican Buffet, and had the opportunity of working
with him on supplies for the chain.
He did wear many "hats", and he wore them well, and still made time
for fun and relaxation. Do you
remember the ski trip to Colorado?
