Not sure what to say?

Dear Dotsie,

I am the new priest in charge at All Saint's Episcopal, Oxnard. Although I am new to the All Saint's family I have heard so much about you and Roy. When I announced to the congregation (both Spanish and English Speakers) that Roy has passed there was a great deal of grief.

I wanted you to know that you and your family are in my prayers and the prayers of the congregation. May Roy rest in peace and live life eternal in the courts of God's heavenly...

Dorothy,

It was such a pleasure to have you and Roy for our neighbors across the street for over 35 years. We miss you every day since you've been gone. I was so sorry to hear about Roy's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind man and a good friend to all.

Dad and I and the whole Bickel family send you our sincerest condolences. Our thoughts are with you across the miles.

"Uncle Roy" volunteered at the Retired Activities Office ,at Fleet and Family Support Center, Navy Base Ventura County.I considered it a honor to assist him when ever he requested.I fondly remember him making his way to and from the lobby vending machine, sharing his cookies with the FFSC staff " Have a cookie..take two!! "Uncle Roy", I miss you. My condolences to your wife and family. Rest In Peace.

Am very sad to hear of Roy's passing. He was a kind and gentle man of faith who wore his love for all he knew on his shoulders for all to see. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Dotty & Family,

We were very sorry to read about Roy. We used to see him often at the Base, and he always had a friendly "hello" for us. I remember many good times at All Saints during the years I was Secretary. Now Roy is with the saints in Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

First and foremost, my most heart felt condolences to you all. I'm not sure if I'm writing regarding the right person or not... But the Roy Buckley I knew attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Oxnard. Could this possibly be the same one... If so, I can say that Roy (and his lovely wife) had been the kindest folks whom I met during the time I worked at that church. Even though I was not a member, they treated me with kindness. Rest in peace Mr. Buckley. I still remember the black and...
