Not sure what to say?

Roy Butler appointed me to the Austin Traffic Advisory Committee in his first term when Joe Ternus was head of the Transportation Dept. Roy was a gentleman, good businessman and mayor and probably one of the few conservative mayors Austin has had since his terms. He will be missed.A true TEXAN!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Butler family. My father was the late Pete Espinoza Sr. and thru his Upholstery business he had the privilege of meeting Mr. Butler. When my son had his home built in Avery Ranch, it was built on Roy Butler Dr. I know my father would be smiling and saying, "I know Mr. Butler". He so admired him. May he rest in peace.

I worked as Mr. Butler's aide from 1977 - 78. I think I was the first aide he had after leaving the Mayor's Office and taking on Coors. What an experience for a junior and senior in college! He allowed me to experience many incredible things, meet some amazing people, and handle duties that I probably wasn't fully qualified to do. I am deeply indebted to Mr. Butler for those experiences and for the kindnesses he showed me. Many blessings to Mrs. Butler and the rest of the family.

Dear Ann and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We were blessed to get to know you and him in 1973 soon after arriving to Austin as students at UT Austin. We are thankful for his leadership.

To Ann and the family,
We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mrs. Butler and all the Butler Family,
We are very sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing such a great man with all the rest of us! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

We feel very blessed to have known him, and it has been such a great honor and privilege for me to have worked for him at Capitol Beverage for so many years. He was also a friend and mentor that will be missed forever; but we will always have the memories and stories...

Mrs. Butler and Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Mr. Butler was a great man, whom we will all miss. It was an honor to have known and worked for him at Capitol Beverage.

I will always remember and appreciate Roy and the wonderful things he did over the years for the Wildflower Center. What a fine person. We were blessed to have him as a supporter and friend.

Mrs. Butler, Beth, Eddie and Roy, Jr.:

Simple words cannot adequately express the heartfelt sympathy I feel for your family's loss. It was a distinct privilege for me to know Mr. Butler personally and to enjoy some great times with your family on many occasions, at the Shinoak or River Ranch, on one memorable South Texas deer hunt or just over dinner at El Rancho.

Eddie, your Dad was a great man and a wonderful friend to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you at...
