Dr. Roy Edward Carter Jr.

Dr. Carter ushered physical rehabilitation through interminable improvements and innovations that extended the lives of tens of thousands of people. As physician, teacher, lecturer, and researcher, he passed on knowledge that greatly improved lives around the world. As one of the people who benefited from his life’s service, I am grateful for his work and the teams he assembled and encouraged that changed so many lives.

Ruth and family, My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved father. What a great man with many accomplishments that benefited the people who needed his professional talents. May you find strength during this difficult time, and may his memory be eternal.

Dr Carter leaves a legacy untouched by no one. It was a privilege to be educated by him, observe his miracle medicine that flowed through the spinal cord injured at TIRR, and to call him a friend. There will never be another like him.
