ROY DRAKE

So many memories of my childhood visits each summer to Sedley, Virginia to visit the Drake clan. We had many trips to Virginia Beach & Nags Head with many of the extended family. Uncle Roy had all of us in stitches....he was always the life of the party. We have enjoyed his visits to Columbus, Ohio the past few years where we were able to reconnect. We love you & will miss your spirit. Rest In Peace Uncle Roy

I was fortunate to have met Roy when I was a kid. He was our "backyard" neighbor. He & Goose took us to football games, to the beach, Lake Ahoy and we spent countless hours & nights in their home. They not only opened their home to us but they opened their hearts as well. Made us feel like one of their own. As friends of their daughter, Wendy, we seemed to always be in their lives in one way or the other. Never once did either of them "run us home". We had many a laugh together. RIP...

We were fortunate to meet Roy when he and Ralph visited our son-in-law, Milton Godwin, in Omaha and so enjoyed our time with him. Our daughter, Ann Godwin, always spoke so highly of him--she always enjoyed his visits. Our sincere sympathy to your family. Garland and Bev Jessen
