Not sure what to say?

Mr Emerson was a true ledgend. I only recently learned of his passing, for this I am deeply sorry. Heaven is better place with Mr. Emerson leading the band at the Gates! He was the one true constant in my life from 5th grade at St Thomas until I graduated from CC in 1987. He more was more than a teacher, he was a friend....He encouraged you to explore other instruments and step out of your comfort zone! I will never forget him Hollaring out someone's last name when they were messing up the...

To the Emerson Family - I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Emerson was a wonderful teacher and musician. He taught me so much, and was a tremendous influence in my life. He LOVED music, and his enthusiasm was a big part of Honors Band and CC Marching Band and Concert Band. I remember him fondly, and pray that he will rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing. I remember so much from him, beginning in grade school & then high school. He & his wife, sitting in their home for sisters piano lessons....and him teaching me drums & alto-sax..He will live on as a great teacher/friend, as will his family. Thoughts & prayers with you all.

I was very sorry to hear the news about Mr Emerson. Most of my fondest memories of high school are of the band; not having to do gym because we had to march, jamming in the band room during breaks because it was too cold to be outside, freezing at the football games and parades in spite of the wool uniforms and best of all working on the programmes and decorations for the concerts. The love of music that Mr E instilled in me is one of my most cherished possessions and is still a huge part of...

My condolences on Mr. Emerson's passing. He was instrumental in helping me to step outside my comfort zone with the bass clarinet by encouraging me to learn to play the flute, oboe, and baritone saxophone. It was a pleasure to learn from him! May he rest in peace.

Dear Emerson Family --

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Mr. Emerson was such a huge part of our lives during our time at Catholic Central. We truly appreciated all he did for the Catholic Central Music Department and for the students of CC.

To the Emerson Family,

I had the pleasure of having Mr Emerson as a teacher from St Francis Xavier school all the way thru high school at CC. Anyone who remembers wearing the CC band wool uniforms will always have a smile on thier face and remembering Mr. Emerson was there. He was a wonderful band teacher. God bless.

Class of 1975

Our condolences to your family. Mr. Emerson was a talented musician and teacher. You should be very proud.

Helen and family,
Going to band first hour in high school was a great way to start the day and Mr E always made it so fun and rewarding to be a part of it...even after 20 years of many students, he would remember who you were and what instrument you played...cc wouldn't have been as good without him...i lost my husband 3 years ago and we were very close just as you were...it is very difficult but just focus on remembering all the good times and the many good memories you have will help a...
