I came to know and admire Roy while working as a Waldo Jr. High Dean's Assistant. Although he looked intimidating, Roy was a big Teddy Bear who earned the respect of students and staff alike by his love of teaching. He also had a great sense of humor preferring to be called by the name of his alter-ego, Torvald Knudsen to which he always replied, "YAH!"

I remember Mr. Everson as he was my Geography teacher in the 70's. He made a lasting impression on me over the years as he made learning fun and was just such a phenomenal teacher. I remember that he rode his bike to school daily and stored in the classroom . We all thought that was awesome!
