Not sure what to say?

Mr. Ford was a one of a kind music educator in Aldine ISD at Stovall Junior High in Houston. I was privileged to be taught by him from grades 6-8 in the mid 1970's. He was awesome! His class was my favorite and I couldn't wait to get there each day! I remember him saying over and over, "If the note goes up, you go up. If the note goes down, you go down. If the note stays on the same line or space, you stay on the same line or space." He was so funny... I remember his saying, "You could throw...

Mr. Ford was my choir teacher in grades 6-8. He was the sweetest, kindest, most caring teacher I ever had. He was firm, yet loving. The light of Christ truly shined thru him. He was a great influence in my life. As an adult, I, too, became a junior high choir teacher and also a pastor's wife. I thank God for Mr. Ford and the way God used him to prepare me for my life's journey. May the Lord be close to you in this time of sorrow and may He give you peace in knowing you will be together again.

So many precious memories of Roy David. Loved when we taught a Sunday School class together. Loved when he brought his choir from Aldine to sing at our Christmas party. I could go on and on about his talents. I count it a privilege to have been part of his life. I know his precious family will miss him dearly as there was no other Roy David ever born.

Early memories of this good man are from the high school days and church youth events. The gospel quartet comes to mind with Roy, Diane, Carolyn, and me. Susie was the pianist. What fun and sincere friendship was experienced. I am thankful to remember the positive, humorous, and always affable presence of Roy David. His legacy of these same characteristics will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. Blessings to his family for their comfort and peace.

Prayers and condolences for the loss of your husband and father. May God grant you peace.
