Roy E. Halverson

There are no words to express my heartfelt sympathies. My prayers for Roy's family and loved ones.

Roy was a true gentleman, and always a pleasure to serve. Our condolences to Joan, and the Halverson Family, from the gang At Marino's Restaurant.

On Thursday I stopped and saw Roy just before he went down for Radiation, Joan of course was their. I went in said hi and asked Roy if he remembered me he said of course Mike. the next thing he asked me was "How is your wife?". Roy had remembered that she had cancer years before, Roy remembered. That was Roy, I asked him how it was going and he said "It is what it is" again, Roy. I made one of my first rescues with Roy on Ladder 10 many many years ago, I will never forget him. Very nice man...

Roy was my captain at fire station 14 when I was a new rookie. He was one of the best captains on the job and very well respected. I enjoyed working with him. I was very sad to hear of his passing. He will truly be missed.
