Roy and I had several great adventures around Kalispell and in Glacier Park, including several new routes. Roy was instrumental in introducing me and Don Burgard to windsurfing as well as rock climbing. We were all part of a group who spent many wonderful hours doing both. I´ll never forget Roy and the good times we shared with him. My best to Shirley, Scott, Kor and the rest of his family. Rest in peace my friend... Jim Paisley

Roy introduced me to climbing in the Flathead when I moved there in 1978. He was a great guy and I was lucky to have known him. I have many fond memories of great adventures with Roy in Glacier Park, the Bugaboos (in picture below with Scott), Humbug Spires, teaching winter camping on the Big Mountain, climbing near Somers dump and Stone Hill and many others. I miss him. My condolences to Shirley, Scott, Kor and their families for their loss.
