Not sure what to say?

I appreciate the reminder of Roy's death - because it reminded me of his life. He was wonderful to me when I came to the PD. I needed his guidance and patience, and he was there. I'll never forget that. Terry Pluto

Roy, you went too early. Think about you regularly and miss your thoughts on HOF voting.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Roy bought my model home in Brecksville what a great guy.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Y’all probably don’t remember me but Roy bought my model home in Emerald Woods.
Deepest sympathy for your loss. What a great guy.

I was shocked to hear of Roy's passing. He was a wonderful man who actually saved my career and mentored me. He did so much for my career, and I could never repay that. One of the best sports editors ever, and a great man. He was patient with me and listened. God Bless Roy and his family. May he rest in peace.

Oh how sorry I am LInda! I missed this until today. It would take a family of writers to compose that beautiful written tribute to Roy. His was a life well lived, loved and admired by his family and friends. Gone far too soon. I feel blessed to have gotten reacquainted this past year. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathies
Ann and Mike

This still is such a shock and sadness. The above and PD article and Hoyne's notes really opened up more of Roy than I knew, even after playing Euchre with him for many years. Once he let me know he voted for the baseball HOF, he was kind enough to let me see the ballot from then on out. I read where he liked appetizers, but i can tell you he and Linda MADE great appetizers, too. God be with Linda, Carrie and Randy.

I only knew Roy briefly. I met him and his beautiful wife Linda in late July. The last conversation we had was about recipes and wine. My heart breaks for the family! All my love and prayers for you. Tiffannie (i cleaned your house)

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Roy. He was a wonderful professional friend as we both served AP Sports Editors together and hosted a national convention in Cleveland. Blessings to you and your family, Linda. He is missed and cherished and celebrated.
