Born July 20, 1944, in Mullen's, W.Va., Roy bounded for heaven on April 23, 2010. Now free to breathe deeply, to laugh hard, to stretch till it tingles, to swing thru those golf balls, to run, jump, swim, to even balance on a beam, to swallow easily his favorite foods, and to hug to his heart's...

Not sure what to say?

Dear family of Roy Bob, I don’t know that you’ll ever receive this message but would like for you to know how much fun we had as children in Buchanan. It was a wonderfully free and joyous time! Roy Bob was truly my first love and I always knew he would go on to be a wonderful husband, community, and friend. My best to you all, Mary (Monaghan) Amann

When my husband passed away last year I knew he would soon be trading money on the golf course with Roy. They were best friends in life and I know they are in internal life.

Dear Jacque, Looking back over the pictures was a great, yet heartbreaking, experience. We will never forget all the wonderful times we all had together. We are praying for you to have a peaceful day with your memories. Love, Linda and Dave

Remembering the good times watching the two of you dancing at parties, walking together in the halls of James River High, watching him shoot baskets for the team, and your exchanging vows at your wedding. Although I didn't know him as a "grown-up," that will make him stay young in my memories. You are always in my prayers.

Dear Jacque, Gary and I were so sorry to learn of your loss. We know Roy will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. He added so much humor to our Clarksville days, and we cherish our memories of those times spent with you two. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jacque, Ruth and I are sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I have fond memories of time spent with Roy - shooting pool in Greensboro and playing golf in Ireland. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

dear Jacque: You probably don't remember me, but I want to express my condolences to you and Roy's family. I hope you are doing ok now, and also I am sorry about the loss of your mother. You were able to be with her for a long time. My prayers are with you and Roy's family.
Love, Margie Speece Mauney
