Roy Avery Hord RICHLAND HILLS -- Roy Avery Hord, 44, born April of 1974 in Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 in Plano, Texas surrounded by his family and friends. SERVICE: Family will receive friends during visitation on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1pm. Services will be taking place at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel followed by interment at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. He was born to Roy Glen and Brenda L. Hord. Roy was raised in North Richland Hills and graduated from Richland High School. He was a Construction Inspector for the City of Haltom City for many years. He met and married his wife Crystal on September 23, 2000. Roy's joy in life were his daughters, Zoe and Reese. Roy was known for his sense of humor, constantly joking and always making his family and friends laugh. He always found a way to lighten the mood. He could often be found alongside his family cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. A loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and co-worker will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Lynn Hord; sister, Sammie Lee Hord and daughter, Morgan Averi Hord.
