Not sure what to say?

I will always remember how kind you were in Italy. I learned how to drink gin & tonics because of you and the extreme heat that summer ! Our children got along great !

I had the good fortune to meet Roy at the Harbour Town Yacht Club several years ago and the pleasure of spending many fun-filled evenings with him (and his bottle of Bud) over that time. Smart, humorous, well-versed on a variety of topics, conversations with him were never dull. One of the most memorable qualities about Roy was his enthusiastic approach to everything. His endearing, mischievous smile offered a peek into the workings of a kind and gentle soul who adored his children and loved...

We were next-door neighbors to Liz and Chick Hunter and Roy and Chip in late 70s on Queens Road West They were so welcoming and a lasting friendship occurred. We followed Roy & golf as we moved to Dallas and were aware of his success. Best to this great family, who made Charlotte such a memorable experience. BETTY WILSON

Chip and family, I am so sorry to hear of Roy´s passing. Roy was always a breath of fresh air when he entered the room. A talented individual who will always be remembered. Bryan Griffith

I´ll never forget meeting Roy on the beach at Debordieu and then seeing him frequently in his golf cart with Ollie. He was one of the kindest and most fun people to be around he just made me happy. Glad to have known him.

Sad to hear we have lost Roy. Enjoyed his friendship. He was a fun guy.

I am heartbroken to learn of Roy's passing! I met Roy when he was the teaching professional at DeBordieu. He was the best golf swing coach I ever had! I remember that one time I had swing plane problems and he had me with my back to the pin hitting balls in a "wood chopping" motion. I fondly remember going to a field in Tega Cay, SC with my mother (before I could drive) to take lessons from Roy when he was at Gaston CC. As accomplished of a competitive golfer and teaching professional as...

Chip and family, my condolences on Roy´s passing. I´ve made a donation to the CGA Foundation in his honor. Jim Gallagher

Sending love and prayers to all of Roy's friends and family in their grief. We had looked forward to meeting Annese's father who everyone spoke of so fondly. His memory and energy will live on through all of you. Love & our most sincere condolences, Parker's family: Sally, Jim, Taylor, & Sam Kane
