CHURCH HILL, TN – ROY LEE KAYLOR, JR, AGE 59


Roy Lee Kaylor, Jr, 59, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born March 10, 1964 to the late Jean Williams Kaylor and Roy Lee Kaylor, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Deana Kaylor.


He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Martha and David McCampbell; niece, Audrey Walls; great- nephew, Dillon Walls; step-daughter, Jennifer Ramey (Michael); grandchildren, Isaiah Ramey and Rachel Ramey; brother-in-law, Duane Cox; and special cousin, Suzanne Fletcher.


Lee graduated from ETSU with a degree in Computer Science. He was an assistant manager at Food City in Weber City, VA. He loved children and attended many of Dillon’s basketball, soccer and softball games. He also attended many birthdays and recitals of his friend’s children. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also loved Snoopy. He was loved and respected by his friends and co-workers at Food City.


The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in the chapel at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. James Greever officiating. 


Graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Colonial Funeral Home at 11 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.


Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.


The family wishes to extend special thanks to Suzanne Fletcher for her kindness and moral support.

So sorry to hear about him passing. I worked in the deli and he would come and check the deli after my shift. Real nice person he was so kind to me. He will be missed.
