Mr. Roy Zane Keeling, age 87, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Heritage Health Care of Toccoa. Born January 15, 1927 in Stephens County, he was a son of the late Wilbur Spencer and Lola Mae Terrell Keeling. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Colonial Foods/Big Star Stores as a market manager. The love of his life was his wife Juanita, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to fish, work in his garden and yards and camping. He was a former camp ground host at Moccasin Creek Campground. Family members include his wife, Juanita Bell Keeling; sons and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Gayle Keeling and Hal and Gloria Keeling; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Leslie Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Anne Keeling; special niece, Brenda Dooley; sisters-in-laws, Evelyn Keeling, Miriam Keeling and Elizabeth Bell Lindsey; grandchildren, Hope Edwards Vaughn and Lee, Heather D. Edwards, Chris Keeling and Melanie, Joni Keeling Kelley and Kyler; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Dawn "Cindy" Keeling; brothers, Leonard Keeling, John Keeling, Fred L. Keeling, and Verner Keeling; and a sister, Irene Keeling Shockley. Funeral services will be held at five o'clock Saturday, April 26, 2014 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Roger Whiten and Dr. Robert Massey officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 4pm – 7pm Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Roy to Liberty Hill Baptist Church or the Gideon's International.
