I remmeber Pastor Knuteson when I first became a Christian and attended Bethany Baptist Church on Mills Avenue Whittier. He Baptised me and he was one of the very few who taught New Testament on Sun Morning and Old Testament in the Evening (unheard of now). Extremely knowledgable. Still remember alot of what he said after all these years. I was in that Great Bus Ministry. Great teaching. I found this by "accident" I feel many don't know especially out around where the church was in...

Our condolences to you Sis Knuteson. I am sorry I did not hear about his passing or I would have been there for the funeral. He was a rare breed of scholar, who loved God more than his brain. He continually defended the idea one could believe the Word of God and be well studied. May the God of Comfort, give you All comfort!

Mrs. K, I just received word of your husband's passing. I am so sorry. The phone number that I have for you is an old one. I so much wanted to call you and personally give you my sympathies. You and your husband have been so dear to my heart. I will never forget your instrumental part in our adoption of Kassie! Thank you for your years of praying for us and know that I will be praying for peace and comfort for you. Love, Kim De Boef

Sending our sympathy to your family at this time. We enjoyed having Pastor Knuteson and his wife at our church some 12 years ago for about a year. It was a tough year for our family as our son was at the University of Iowa Hospitals. He was born with a heart defect, had 2 open heart surgeries and then a heart transplant. We were at the hospital for months. But, every week, the Knutesons would come visit and take me to lunch. They would pray with us and were just so special during this hard...

A very dear friend and teacher will be waiting nearby the "gate" as we will soon enter.Imagine an eternity to fellowship with "our pastor" and eventually his family. As we read one time in the Sawdust Trail,"A rule that governs my life (like Pastor K)anything that dims my vision of Christ, or takes me away my taste for Bible study or cramps my prayer life, or makes Christian work difficult is wrong for me". Love to all the family. Bill & Naomi Mutter
