Roy H. Krell Sr.
Roy H. Krell Sr., of Penn Street, Tamaqua, passed away on Friday, July 28, in Pottsville. He was the husband of M. Jeanne (Buhl) Krell, to whom he was married 44 years.
Roy had worked at the former Atlas Powder Company, Reynolds, for over 38 years, retiring as a lead man.
Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late George F. and Eva (Sparr) Krell.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and running his bird dogs.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son, Roy H. Krell Jr. and his wife, Angelina, of Cranesville; daughter, Kimberly, wife of Scott Schroeder, of Farmington, Mich.; sister, Mrs. Mary Brannun of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Matthew, Hunter, and Aubrey Krell, Ethan, and Daniel Schroeder.
He was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Constance Henry, Miss Carol Krell; brothers, Donald E. Krell, John Krell, Oliver Krell, George Krell, Charles Krell and Robert Krell.
