Reid was my brother-in-law but he was a lot more than that for me. He was someone I looked up to and admired for all his many talents. He built beautiful furniture with only the simplest tools. He played piano and could recite long poems in his wonderful voice. He was an intelligent man and the best teacher I ever had. But I'll remember him best as my fishing buddy while I was at GHS. We had so many fun times together at Lawson's Lake with him sculling in front of the boat and me catching...

Remember going to sleep in my math class and Mr Lambert waking me up with his strong and very clear voice. Sure, it never happened again and I learned much math from him. One of the best teachers I every had. RIP Mr Lambert. for the family.

May God bless you and your family. Reid was always such a good friend to my Dad. I loved to be present when they were together. They considered themselves as brothers. Their storytelling was the best! Lesa and I send our most heartfelt condolences.

Condolences to Carolyn, Melanie, Kendra, Susan and William on the passing of my favorite teacher all-time and a primary inspiration of my career in education.

"Mr. Lambert" was absolutely my most favorite teacher!! I'd moved to Texas after completing 6th grade and returned after Christmas of my 7th grade year. I'll always remember being so nervous because there was a math test that first week. Reid was so kind and told me not to worry. ..that we'd use it to see where I was in math. So i took a deep breath and to my total surprise I scored 100! From that day forward Reid was my fave...all the way thru trig. I was well prepared for those required...
