Bailey & Foster Funeral Home - Palestine Obituary

The world lost part of its radiance Friday morning, January 13, 2017, when Roy S. "RJ" Linder III was torn from his loving family. RJ's smile brightened every corner when he entered a room. He was a devoted son, daddy, brother and friend. He loved his family fiercely and more than anything. His boys were his everything. His passions were anything that had to do with the outdoors, especially if it had four wheels. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He will eternally be in our hearts and thoughts.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine, with Brother Dale Perry, of Living for the Brand Cowboy Church of Athens, officiating. Burial will follow at Tennessee Colony Cemetery in Tennessee Colony. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
RJ was born in Palestine on August 2, 1990.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy S. Linder Sr. and Everett Gene Thornton.
Pallbearers are Anthony Presley Sr., Anthony Presley Jr., James Hodge, Jared Hodge, Daniel Franklin, and Cory Fade. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Linder, James Fox, Kody Fox, Adam Fox, Tobyn Fox, and David Mason.

I remember TJ as a live bundle of ceaseless energy. R.I.P.....

So sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. Having lost a son myself , I know how hard this is for you.

Rj you will be missed deeply little brother you were taken way to soon.now as you walk with angels watching over all your loved ones just know you will never be forgotten.love you little brother

RJ words can not express the pain that we all have felt since you were taken from us. You were my best friend until the end and you were always there for me no matter what. I will always remember the good times that we shared together and the millions of laughs we had. I will forever miss our daily conversations. I love you my dear friend and I know that you are watching over all of us.

Cousin You'll be deeply missed. I hadn't Talked to you in years but the first thing i thought when i heard what happened was how we used to play when we were as young as our own kids are now. All I've been able to think about for the past few days was how You were taken away From us too soon. I just wish i could've reconnected, But all in all Cousin You were My best Friend when we were kids and I'll never Forget you. Love you Cuz.

I never got to meet you.
but you made my best friends daughter very happy. May you rest in peace.

Roy, sorry to hear of your lost, you and your family will be in my prayers.

RJ came into our family as a bright eyed little boy. He was at every family funtion and our kids all called him "Uncle RJ" and we called him brother. I'm so greatful that Amber married Blake and brought RJ into our family. That sweet man boy will forever have a place in our hearts and will always be loved by our family as one of our own.

For the brief time I knew you, you were open and frank with me, a trait that is rare today. Thank you for all that you have done. Be at Peace.
