Not sure what to say?

I also found online a sweet letter that my father wrote to Santa Claus when he was five years old. Even at that young age, he thought of others, especially his friend John Busby

My father was also a veteran and served this great country. He was a member of the American Legion.

My father was a very special, intelligent, caring, and fair-minded person. He wanted the best for others, and he truly loved his family, friends, and pets. He was a dedicated member of the NASA team and worked on countless missions and projects and collaboratively saw them through to successful fruition. I cannot begin to say how much I will miss him. I know he is in heaven, and we all will miss him dearly.

Roy was a great man who provided great service to his country, both at NASA and before. I worked with him beginning in 1999 and was in the same organization until he retired. I miss him.

Little did we know in 1968 when mutual ballroom dancing friends Linda and John Sims introduced us that decades later Gentleman Roy and his beautiful wife Kathy and I would be grandparents to the same two children, Emily and Timothy, and great grandparents to three beautiful children!
I wish our friends, John and Linda, both deceased, knew that Roy's and Cathy's son, Kirk, is now married to mine and Gaines' daughter, Jaime. And instead of sharing a table at ballroom events, we have for...

Roy was a great man and an even greater great grandfather. From day 1 Roy treated me and my family like his own. He will truly be missed.

Some men go through life just existing, and some men leave the word different than they found it. In his fifty years of service to the Huntsville community while working for NASA, I am proud to say that my grandfather impacted the world in a profound way. I am proud to be a small part of that legacy.

Kathy, I worked with you for a short while in rhe early 80s at Redstone. I am so sorry to learn of your husband’s passing.

Good friend that can now RIP. Kathy you and your family rest heavy on my heart and in my prayers.
