Roy Calvin Mason, 94, of Guilford, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. He was born July 23, 1922 in Guilford, Indiana, son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Emerson) Mason. Roy was a veteran of the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a member of the farming and gardening community. He was a past 4-H leader . He worked at Schenley. He is survived by his 2 sons, Lonnie Mason of Madison, IN, Jim (Mary) Mason of Brookville, IN; 4 daughters, Karen Hayslett of Cincinnati, OH, Beverly (John) Bernert of Cincinnati, OH, Cathy Brandt of Aurora, IN, Pam (Joe) Brinker of Guilford, IN; sister, Naomi Hostetter of Guilford, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Mason, Eljean Mason; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Mason; loving wife, Alice Mason; 2 sons, Gary Mason, Donald Mason; 3 brothers, Ralph Mason, Robert Mason, Eugene Mason; and sister, Holly Boyles. Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, July 24, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
