Not sure what to say?

Dear Beth and Kids,
Ermal and I were sorry to hear of Roy's passing. When I was 15 I went to church camp for the first time. There I met two special people-Ermal and Roy. I think Roy either had just finished his Freshman year at CBS or was going to start in the fall. I was impressed that this young guy-who was cute, I might add-was so excited about Christ.
Then I kept up with "Come Alive" and Roy through Ermal. Next I went to CBS and lived on the same floor as you. Your presence...

Dear Family,
My husband and I were so sorry to hear about Roy's passing. Roy held the funeral for my late father-in-law just a little over 1 year ago, although he was not feeling well himself at the time. He was such a wonderful, caring man and we know what a great loss this is for you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Roy was a wonderful man. I only meet him once when he presided over my beloved Uncles funeral. My uncle Tom (Hickey) helped Roy when he was taking chemotheray treatments 8 years ago, but the Lord took Tom home first unexpectedly and Roy was thankful to have met Tom and had such kind words about him. I thank God for Roys life.

Beth and family. So sorry to learn of Roy's passing. I remember him many years as I attended Southland and sang in the choir before Wayne retired. My brother is Jerome (Jerry) Baker. He told me about Roy by email few days ago as as my husband, Dave and I are in Ocala, Fla. for several weeks. So glad that you ask Jerome to play at the funeral. It was a hard call for him only losing Pinkey in October but a great blessing to get him back to church. He is going to orchestra practice this...

Beth-
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this time. I know he is rejoicing with our Lord! He was such an inspiration to us all. What a courageous example of faith and love he was. It was my privelege to know him.

I met Roy in high school and knew he was special then. His love for the LORD was the real thing and it never failed to serve others.
God's Peace and prayers to his family during this difficult time.

Beth, Ryan & Amanda,
I write you as the funeral is underway in Lexington to express my heartfelt sympathies. I am sorry I could not be there in person to express my condolences, but I wanted to share that to me Roy was a constant source of wisdom and encourangement when the mysteries of faith were ever present and overwhelming. My prayers and thoughts are with you all on this mournful overcast day in Nashville.

DEAR FAMILY, MAY THE LORD OF ALL MANKIND BE WITH YOU DURING THIS TIME OF SORROW AND CELEBRATION. WE SHALL RISE UP AND LIVE AGAIN, GODS PROMISE TO US.

Dear Beth,

I have always felt blessed to count Roy as one of my mentors in ministry. When I was a boy, I heard my Mom and brother talk about hearing this Roy-kid preach at Deep Valley. As a college student, I was blessed that Roy invited me into his small group that met in your home every Wednesday. As an adult, every contact with Roy left me encouraged and challenged.
