Not sure what to say?

Uncle Roy, you are still at our Optimist meetings in spirit. Your dedication to Fort Wayne Optimists will always be appreciated. RIP

I found a set of plans that Uncle Roy drew for me when I was moving out of my first home here, way back in the 70's. I may have to pass them on to one of my cherished friends!! Annie Eckrich

Uncle Roy continues to remembered and missed. His optimism and smile will stay with his friends and family forever. Rest in Peace Uncle Roy.

My deepest sympathies to my cousins, John and Roger and their families. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all during this Christmas season. With love, Georgeann McNett Dodge

The world was definitely a better place because of Uncle Roy. He was a delight to work with building our home in Lima, Ohio in 1997. He embraced our family as his own to make sure that we had the best possible outcome. Too bad there aren't more genuinely good people out there like him. He will be missed.

Fort Wayne is a better place for the work of Mr. McNett. I'm glad that future generations will have the chance to appreciate his distinctive, smart, and elegant style.

For an added perspective on my father, in about 1947, around the time he was founding the Fort Wayne Optimist Club, Dad met Dale Carnegie. Dad was impressed, and was guided by Dale's 1936 book, How to Win Friends and Influence People, which is still a good read. Many of the kind comments made by others in this guest book are a reflection of my father putting into practice the principles outlined by Dale Carnegie in his writings.

It was a privilege and honor that "Uncle Roy" extended to us to call him "Uncle Roy". He was a true professional with integrity and a heart. Sincerely, Judy Baumgartner

"Uncle Roy" was first introduced to us when we wanted to build a new home. What first impressed us was the time Uncle Roy devoted to wanting to learn more about us and what we desired in order to produce the perfect home for our family. He developed a client relationship into a lasting friendship. We admired him for his gentleness, kindness, wisdom, charity, and especially loved the little twinkle in his eyes. He spoke lovingly of his family with great pride, and most of all, his wife...
