Very sorry to hear of this. Roy was a lead of mine we worked the 747-400 horizontal stabilizer. He was a great mentor, engineer, friend, and respected DER/AR.

My deepest condolences on your loss. Roy was my first Lead Engineer when I first started at Boeing 30 years ago. He was a tremendous mentor as I learned to apply my academic knowledge to the aerospace environment, and I enjoyed working with him very much. His loss comes way too soon -- he earned a much longer and more joyous retirement. He will be missed.

My condolences, Roy will be missed. I worked with Roy at Boeing, and he was one of the most respected DER's. He was always ready to listen and never seemed to get upset, but he would definitely speak up if he didn't agree with what someone else was doing. He was a man of integrity.
