Not sure what to say?

Roy "Doc" O'Neal was a regular attendee of the annual reunions of the USS Gardiners Bay (AVP-39) in those years that Merry and I attended from 1999 to 2012. His sea stories were true and memorable. During those meetings I managed to sit next to Doc in the hospitality room and listen to his stories of sickness and surgery on the high seas. I relished those times.
Although our reunions have ceased due to the increased age of our regular attendees, I shall forever remember the stories of...

I always think lovingly of Roy since he was our River Park neighbor when I was 12. Jennifer, Pricilla and Lillian you had a great guy as a father and husband. Sacramento won't be the same without him!

While we never met Roy, we have learned of your many talents, through your daughter Priscilla, our future sister in law. Once you get settled in, please look up my father David Brewer. You two have a few activities in common. Dave once told us Priscilla was a keeper. My wife Teri and I agree, as does my brother Tom. RIP

Lillian,

Our deepest symapthy to you and your family.
We have enjoyed Roy visits and hugs for so many years ,we will miss him terribly.

While I never met Roy O'Neal, I have learned much about him through my soon to be sister in law, Priscilla. Roy, once you get settled, look up Dave Brewer, my father. You guys could share many things that you enjoyed in common. When I heard about Priscilla through Dave, he described her as "a keeper". My wife Teri and brother Tom agree. - Rest in Peace.

I'll miss having him walk me "down the aisle" when I marry Tom this June. When we moved to Virginia in May of last year I thought we'd have more time. Nothing will be the same...Miss you Dad.

I think often of the time you put in at the Casa Roble High School woodshop. I am sure the problem students that you selected to give your "special attention" to will remember you forever. I think of you and it gives me great pleasure. Thank you, those are fun memories.
