Not sure what to say?

I loved Fr. Roy. I will say a rosary now in thanksgiving for his soul and God´s gift of Roy to the world.

I last saw father Roy working at dominion village for a day and asked if he remembered my parents from st Theresa´s. He prayed over me, very nice visit. I have known this much loved and lively man of god since I was 10. He did a wonderful funeral for my dad at st Theresa´s. He was always the number one priest there and missed when away out of the country till he got back. Very bold to buy a priest car that was needed taking charge. He said my lasagne tasted the best out of 11 lasagne...

The world lost a wonderful man. Father Roy will always be my favorite priest.

Fr.Roy was a Godly man, gifted with a sense of humor, humility and wonderful communication skills. He served the Kingdom during his Earthly tenure and many hearts and minds were touched by his sermons. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to know him

He was a great light made me happy. Enjoyed knowing him and one day seeing him again. God enjoy him.

My mother mentioned Father Oggero's passing. Like him and my Mom, we're Native Houstonians and attended St. Theresa's Sugar Land (me, 1970-1977). And like him, I've lived out of state (mostly, East Coast) for many years to present. Oggero told me, a teen, how to dress up for my 1977 trip up east as part of the Close Up program (DC suffered arctic temps, heavy snow that week after President Carter's installment). Curious what brought his parents to settle Houston, knowing Texas, then and now,...

I´ve read through the comments, stories, well wishes, and everything I would have were said many times! This makes me think what a Christ like man he was. He treated everyone the same, as Jesus would´ve! He loved everyone he came in contact with as Jesus would´ve! He was funny, didn´t take things too seriously, which I believe reflected his trust and hope in the Lord, knowing that this earthly kingdom was not our eternal resting place and therefore whatever trials and tribulations we are...

I remember Fr. Roy from the Basilian House in Sugar Land. He was one of the nicest people I´ve ever met and always gave you encouragement. He said say Jesus I trust in you. God bless Fr. Roy!
