Read MorePeff and I became friends in 8th grade. He was always one of my favorite people. We were both in sports. My parents both worked in the city and couldn't pick me up right after practice. Roy stayed until they picked me up. He told me years later he was keeping me safe and could have gone home anytime. I will miss him even though I haven't seen him since our 60th high school reunion.

Peff, as I called him, was a dear and special friend beginning in 8th grade up to his passing. We shared mother's, we called his mom, mom and my mom, mom. There is not enough space to recount of the memories we shared in and out of school and through sports, fishing. with Barry, et al, and life. I shall miss him emensely.
