Sandy, Reading of Roy's passing made me realize how quickly our lives go by, from the Cuyler Ave. group, to our connection with American Airlines, to sharing so many of life's opportunities and experiences. Your family always meant so much to the Tollenaere clan. You have ALL of our deepest sympathy.

"Hi neighbor!" I can hear those words to this day. My buddy. My fellow Oak Parker. My friends to the east who took care of this young dumb couple who decided to buy a house. Sandy my wise and witty friend who cared for Roy to the end I love ya! And Roy who took care of everyone he loved. You are missed already. Meg

I have many fond memories growing up with Roy in Oak Park. We were original members of the ConRods car club, and often went to the drag strips and Skips Drive In. Simply put.....he was a GOOD guy.
RIP Roy
My deepest condolences to Sandy, and the entire family.

His love for cool cars is what brought us to meet. Roy was and always will be a valued neighbor. I will always remember his kindness, as he was ill last year and stopped to help my friend and I with our bikes. He would laugh at me when I would catch him sitting by the pond in my back yard, I would say if you don't buy my house, I'll have to charge you rent!! His sense of humor will always put a smile on face. Heaven has certainly gained another Angel, rest my friend. Till we meet again....
