Roy Raymond (80) of Fellsmere, FL, peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
As usual, Roy enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his wife Scooter with a hot cup of coffee watching a new day be born and critters waking up. He lived in Georgia until he was...

It was an honor to serve as one of Roy's Deputies. When he stepped down from being Sheriff of Indian River County, we really lost someone that cared about the agency. I always respected Roy, not only as a man, but as a good leader. He made the Sheriff's Office a family. To Scooter and all of Roy's family, I extend my most heartfelt sorrow. Happy Trails Roy.

Scooter and Becky, what little we can say to console you at this time. In the days to come as we grieve for Roy, just know that he touched so many lives in such a profound way. His integrity truly inspired those that served with him and for him. I will always carry this inspiration with me and speak of Roy in the highest regard. A rock of a man who did things the right way. God Bless your family. I'll wear the star on my lapel in Roy's honor.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Raymond family. Roy definitely showed compassion for this community. I enjoyed the time spent on trips to the Boys Youth Ranch or helping with the annual BBQ. He always had a passion to help others and had that smile on his face. But most of all he had that sweet tooth for that Gelati at Rita's Italian Ice. You will greatly be missed Sheriff and you left a huge foot print in this community. Enjoy Gods Country in Kenansville Sir. R.I.P ❤
