Richter, Roy Robert 87, died Monday, March 25, 2013. Visitation will be held at Le Center Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 8th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with visitation from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Roy was born in New Prague on February 2, 1926 to Raymond and Elgin Richter. After graduating from Montgomery High School, Roy served in the Korean War achieving the rank of Sergeant. Roy married Jerre Sykora on February 20, 1954 and spent 59 years sharing their life together. Roy was a Massey Ferguson Implement Dealer and owner of Richter Implement in Le Center for 52 years. Roy is survived by his wife, Jerre; children, Robert (and Terri) Richter of Mankato, Bruce (and Linda) Richter of Kasota, Laurie (and John) Wohlers of Le Center and Kara (and Sam) Mangiere of Florida, grandchildren; Nichole Richter- Matowitz, Robert Richter Jr, Kristin Richter, Jon Richter, John Wohlers Jr, Katie Wohlers- Bisek, Jerre Ann Wohlers- Holicky and George Wohlers, 9 great-grandchildren, brother Carlie (and Shirley) Richter of Montgomery and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Francis Richter. Roy requested funeral attendees to wear something red, if you have it.
