Roy Ricketts passed away in Peoria, Illinois. The obituary was featured in Peoria Journal Star on November 4, 2010.
I just learned of Roy's passing and wanted to send condolences to his family. I worked with Roy for 10 years when I was at PARC. We shared many laughs over the years. He was a great person and an excellent leader. He will be sadly missed.

Dearest Missy and Family,
My heart breaks for your loss of Roy.
I worked at Smiley, and he was a mentor to me an enriched my life and helped me be the person I am today. He always had a smile and a thank you for a job well done. I am a better person for knowing him. He always had a kind word for everyone. He was one of the greatest people. He will be sadly missed by all that know him,and I will be one of them.
