Not sure what to say?

I met Father Ronald in July, 1980 when I was riding my bicycle across America as a 19-year old. I was riding by myself from California to Maine and Fr. Ronald graciously allowed me to stay the night at St. Mary's in Belmont (NY) when I told him what I was doing. I greatly appreciated his kindness and hospitality. Thank you, Father Ronald, for serving the church, and for welcoming a long-haired stranger during a difficult journey. Matt Ebiner Covina, California

As I recall, Fr. Ronald's first assignment as a pastor was at our small parish in Belmont, NY. He was different from any previous pastor we had ever had. He was young, and he had parents! And his parents visited frequently! He was also incredibly smart. But quiet. Very, very quiet.

I was the parish organist throughout his tenure at St. Mary's. He was easy to work for, and he always acknowledged me for my talent and hard work. Although he was no longer at St. Mary's when I got married...

Roy was a personal friend and I will dearly miss him. I visited him at his bedside at CCU,Mercy. I just talked and prayed out loud. I hoped he heard me. I reminded him of our times together at Eucharistic Adoration. Also the times we went to Connors for Friday fish-fry. I hope to see you,Roy, when I too go to the other side.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ken & Bev. We will always remember Father Roy and his gentle ways.
