Roy Allen Scheetz

Obituary

"Roy Boy"
KAHULUI, Hawaii - Roy Allen Scheetz, 30, of Kahului, formerly of Red Lodge, Mont., died in his home Sept. 2, 2006. He was born Nov. 17, 1975, in Sidney, Mont., the son of Allen and Georgie (Wetherelt) Scheetz.
Roy was an entrepreneur by nature, jack of all trades, master of none. He embraced each new adventure with open arms, living and working in all 50 states. Roy loved and lived life to the fullest, enjoying the thrills of the oceans and the mountains of Montana. He also took comfort in the simple life, hanging out with loved ones and friends, and goofing off. Roy had such a personality that you either loved him or hated him, but one thing's for sure, you would NEVER forget him.
Roy and Brian recently moved to Hawaii to start a new chapter in their lives. They had a great thing going until Roy's untimely death.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Allen; sister, Lisa; niece, Lucinda; nephew, Austin; grandfather, Glenn Wetherelt, and uncle Ron Scheetz.
Roy leaves behind his mother, Georgie Scheetz of Red Lodge; sister Julie (Sonny) Stethem; nieces, Aprilleena and Keeawna, all of Billings; grandmother, Hazel Wetherelt of Broadus; grandparents, Clarence and Agnes Scheetz of Sidney; a stepfather, Terry Handeland; aunts and uncles, Wesley (Deborah) Wetherelt, Bill (Anne) Wetherelt, Allen (Laurie) Wetherelt, Tom Scheetz, Sharon (Steve) Iverson, Terry (Billie) Scheetz, Randi (Terry) Friez and Pam Scheetz, and many cousins.
Roy will be greatly missed by his family and a multitude of friends. His presence and love shall be forever with us.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in Dahl Chapel in Red Lodge. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Dahl Chapel in Red Lodge. Family interment will be held at a later date in Broadus. The spirit continues my brother

I would like to ask that anyone with any pictures of ROY please add them,
Thank you

The first thing that struck me about Roy was that he always had a smile on his face. It didn't matter if we were out running around or he'd just gotten home after a long day at work. He always had a smile and a hug for me. I only knew Roy for a few months before he moved to Hawaii, but I spent quite a bit of time with Brian, Tana, and him while they were in Montana. We often talked late into the night about anything and everything. He listened when I needed to talk, and he hugged me when...

It is so hard to put into words the way I felt about Roy. He always had a smile (a beautiful smile) and a hug for me. I will miss him even though I didn't get to see him very often, at least not often enough. I know you know I can't put in words what is in my heart. Just know that I love you all.

To all of you:
Mom and I will like to send our deepest gratitude for all of your love and support. Anything you can do to keep Roy's memory and precious moments alive helps all of us to heal from this increadable loss.
With all of our Love
Georgie, Julie and family.

Roy, Lisa, Julie we all hung out together when we were in school. Even if we werent getting along. Roy was a wonderful person. He will be missed by so many people. My heart goes out to Julie, family and her mom. His smile could light up the room so could his laugh. Roy was loved and will be really missed by everyone that knew him just for a moment in his life.

When we were young we shared many great memories that will last a lifetime. My favorite memory was when we were riding in the back of grandpa's "old red" pickup. I was younger and smaller than Roy and we were all holding on to the headache rack and Roy wrapped his arms around myself, my sister and my brother to help us keep our balance as we rode through the pastures. And anyone that has rode in those pastures with my daddy and my grandpa knows it wasn't a slow ride! We liked it better going...

Roy was one of my favorite cousins. His huge smile and infectious laughter could always make me smile. His hugs will be greatly missed. Roy was able to look beyond outward appearances and see people for who they were inside. I loved him for that more than he ever knew. I pray for strength and healing for Aunt Georgie, Julie, Sonny, Aprilleena, and KeeAwna. I can only imagine a little of the pain they are going through. I love you all soo very very much. Take care. I had the honor of spending a month or so with Roy before his adventure to Hawaii. We all could learn a little something from Roy... how to see the good in every situation, make the best of life by living each day to it's fullest, how to be witty and charming to anyone and everyone, and most of all how to love unconditionally. My prayers are to all of Roy's family and friends. May we all be together again.
