Roy was a dear friend of our family for many years and trememndously helpful to my father in his many business pursuits. He was also helpful to me whenever I asked him for advice. My thoughts are with his family and friends. He was a kind and thoughtful man who I will always remember warmly.

I have just learned of the passing of Roy. Roy and I shared many employment related issues about ourclietns over the years. Roy was a gentle gentleman and a scholar. Condolences to all the Shiels.

My sincere condolences to Roy's family. I truly did not know of his passing until it was announced today at Mass at Holy Cross. I had the honor and pleasure of practicing with Roy for 8 years at Brown, Chasanov. Roy was always a professional and a gentleman to staff, his clients and opposing counsel. May he rest in peace.
